Fiona and Tuckerforever

Fiona and Tucker have known each other for as long as they can remember. They both share the same godmother and grew up on the same street. They even had a photo of the two of them as toddlers at their officiant/godmother’s wedding more than 20 years ago. As you can imagine, this wedding was pretty special for both families who are quite close and there were lots of tears. To make things even more sentimental, Fiona chose to have their wedding at the summer camp where she spent her summers growing up. They unintentionally pulled off a “Moonrise Kingdom” wedding complete with dinner served out of a canoe! They were so kind and welcoming I felt like a guest the whole time. A lot of love went into this one and I am so happy I was the one to document it.

Lisa and Andersin georgetown

I think a big reason I love to photograph weddings is all of the excitement that I get to be a part of. Everyone is so happy and I am in the center of it. I can go into a wedding feeling tired or mellow but by the end of the day my adrenaline is pumping and I feel energized. Lisa and Anders had me feeling all of it. The two of them had so much fun together and it was infectious just being around them. They were so easy to laugh and really knew how to enjoy their time together. I have only photographed a handful of weddings so far this year but I can already tell I am going to have a lot more couples like this one and I cannot wait.

Amanda and Tomat deception pass

If you live in Seattle and have survived this wet and dismal winter you will understand how tough it has been to find a day without rain but all of the waiting was worth it for this one. When we arrived at Deception Pass, the conditions were perfect with dramatic skies and the most beautiful sunset. The three of us fell quickly into conversation as we wandered the trails and explored the rugged cliffs and hidden coves. Amanda and Tom were so comfortable in front of my camera that I barely needed to direct them. It was a really nice way to spend the day and a perfect example of the reason I love what I do.

Lauren and Billy at The Brown Family Homesteada rustic alpine wedding

This wedding was absolutely beautiful! Lauren and Billy are the sweetest couple and their day was filled with so many touching moments I could barely put my camera down. They chose to get married outside of Leavenworth because Billy’s family has a cabin nearby where they spend a lot time together. They could not have found a more perfect venue. Resting in a valley of wildflowers, the Brown Family Homestead sits between the mountains and Lake Wenatchee. It is a perfectly rustic, mountain retreat with everything you could ask for. Is there anyone out there getting married at this venue who still needs a photographer? I would be so happy to shoot a million more weddings just like this one.
