FAQs

Did you study photography?

In addition to receiving a BA with a focus in photography from The Evergreen State College I grew up with a darkroom in my laundry room. My mother started teaching high school photography when I was 9 so my education started long before college. I know my photo history and have a deep appreciation for classic photography. I also shoot a lot of personal work which you can see here.

What steps do I need to take to book you?

I ask for a standard contract with a retainer for 30% of the total cost. You can sign the contract and take care of your payment online.

Can we meet you before we book?

Please! Hiring a wedding photographer is a really big deal and you need to make sure you are compatible with whoever you decide to work with. The reality is that we will be spending a lot of time together on your wedding day so it’s pretty important that you like me.

Do you have referrals for other vendors?

You bet! I have been doing this wedding thing for a while now (5 years and counting) and have worked with plenty of other vendors that I really liked. I also know more than anyone should about weddings in general and would be happy to offer advice if you need it. I will walk you through your timeline and help you figure out the best places for portraits. I’m here to help.

How much will it cost?

Wedding Packages start at $3400 with a variety of options. Engagement and portrait sessions start at $500. I also offer hourly rates for elopements.

Do you travel?

Whenever I get the chance! The Pacific Northwest is endlessly beautiful but I am always looking to shoot in new places. Just let me know exactly where you are planning your wedding and I will let you know what my travel fee would be to cover the expenses.

When will I get to see my photos?

I quote 6-8 weeks from your wedding date. Summer dates are typically closer to the 8 week mark and portraits usually take between 2-4 weeks. I know how painful it can be to wait so I always make sure to give you a couple previews within a week.

Will I get the digital files?

Yes! In addition to a thumb drive with all the files I post all your images online to a proofing gallery where you can access a download with a release and order prints. You can also share the link with friends and family.

Do you shoot elopements?

Absolutely! I think the idea is so romantic and would be thrilled to be part of such an intimate celebration. I offer an hourly rate and ask for a minimum of 3 hours of coverage.
